Before we started filming our real videos or getting started on our actual coursework, we had a practice run. Our teachers put us in groups and gave each of us part of a Britney Spears Video to film and do on our own. This was to get us used to the filming and editing of a film and to show that it can be quite time consuming so you have to be aware of your time constantly. Not only this but it also helped us realise that you have to organise when you and everybody in the video can film very accurately because you can get behind very easily if certain people can do certain parts on certain days but others can't. The part of the video me and my group had to film was the above shots which I have print screened and presented to you. I was playing Britney in the video, the reason we did this was because we thought it'd be much easier for the person whose playing the main part in the video to be someone who is actually working on the video and will be constantly available throughout our media lessons. It took us a lot of time to find people who were free at the same times we were, but we eventually got round to doing it. We also faced a lot of other challenges too, such as everyone bringing in the right costume and so on. This challenge, although a lot smaller to my actual challenge actually made me realise how well prepared you have to be to make this video, and how you and your group have to work as a team to use your time wisely and get everything done to a satisfactory standard without having to rush it. It taught me a lot and I'm glad we did it otherwise I wouldn't have had any beforehand experience in making a video so therefore would have not have been as well prepared.
