Track Idea 2 - The Killers - Romeo and Juliet

The reason I chose this song as another one of my potential song choices is because this song could be very narrative based and it would be very easy to get people to do this video and get it done easy without having to worry about timings etc as you would not need a huge amount of people in this video as the main spotlight is just on Romeo and Juliet, 2 characters, therefore only needing two main people constantly. There is also a lot of imagery in the lyrics of this song therefore making it easy to gather props to symbolise certain parts of the song and parts of the lyrics. It's also keeping the genre that I most enjoy which is Rock, although more along the lines of rock-alternative. The only down side to this song is that The killers main singer has a very distinctive voice and is very easily recognizeable, which is what we have been highly recommended not too. A lot of the songs I have chose are mainly based around love, especially this one, I believe this is a good topic to base the music video on, as you can show love through various different things. Despite all of the good points to this song, there is also another down side, the song is very long, over 5 minutes, in which me and my group would have to cut the track down over 2 minutes, which wouldn't be great.
