Locations

There were various different locations we used during the filming of our music video, to set the scene of our video and to add more effect, here are the different locations we used;

Location 1 - This is the location we used to film the main girl coming off of the bus scene. This location was outside of our school, this location, being near a school and in a school environment, we felt would make our audience relate to our video and the characters in our video more, as they are leading an every day lifestyle within the video, and they go to school like any other person.

Location 2 - Brentwood Library - we used this location because we felt that it looks very tidy and educational, which would set the scene of a schooling environment, which is what the area is actually supposed to be within the video.

Location 3 - King George's Secret Garden - Brentwood - We chose the Secret Garden in King George's in Brentwood as the location that we used during the fight scene between the two lovers and also the scene where Nathan (The singer of the band) and I (The drummer of the band) come together and hug and he makes her feel better after the fight between her boyfriend and herself, we felt that this was a very pretty, romantic looking spot, and the bench could also symbolise something with the couple, a place that they may have visited in the past, and shared memories and so on.

Location 5 - The Drama Rooms - 706 + 707 - We chose these rooms for our band shots, we felt that these rooms were a good place to film our band shots as we could chose our lighting, whether it be really dark or really light, there was also a good background which was just a plain black curtain going all the way round the room, we felt this gave the scene a performance feel to it.

Location 6 - The music rooms - At the beggining of our filming, we took a while to choose where the best place would be to film our band shots, so the first, most sensible place we could think of to film our band shots was in fact one of the music rooms, but once we had filmed our first band shots, we looked back at them and they looked very messy and unorganised, and looked as though we hadn't planned out our location what so ever, so we decided to re-film the band shots, to make them look a bit more tidy and proffesional.

A maths class room - At the beggining of our filming we tried to shoot some of ours shots in a Maths Classroom in our school, but once again it looked very messy, so we re-filmed them in the Brentwood Library after getting permission from the Librarians.
